The summary is based on field research conducted in Eastern Ukraine in 2018 (government controlled and non-government controlled areas).
While analysing the context of people’s daily activities, PAX integrated a gender perspective in order to understand better the main challenges individuals face due to the armed conflict in the country, and whether these challenges result in gender-specific implications. The research team used semi-structured interviews and focus groups to obtain data. The sample consisted of 45 respondents, representative in terms of gender and age.
